“Karen, how did you make your crust so flakey? This is some of the best pie I’ve ever had” was a comment I often heard when I was growing up. Karen is my mother and she is truly a top-notch baker. Recently I told her about our school auction and she said, “How about I teach an apple pie class?” Great idea! This July my mother will teach a hands-on apple pie making class at my residence. Learn how to prepare the fruit, make the crust, roll it out, and assemble the pie. You will go home with a pie dish, a pastry mat, and your very own apple pie ready to bake in the oven. Pie and tea will be served at the end of class.

Restriction: Class is Tuesday, July 15 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Location: Nicole Truesdell’s home, 6827 39th Ave NE, Seattle. Thank you: Karen and Nicole Truesdell
