Have you ever wanted to know how to make medicine from herbs and ingredients found in your kitchen or own backyard? Have we got the class for you! Join Danielle Holliday, Lavender kindergarten parent and Bastyr herbal science alumna, on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Bastyr University in Kenmore. The class will begin with a walk through the medicinal herb garden. After the walk, you will head inside and spend some time in the lab discussing the medicinal qualities and uses of several gentle yet effective plants found in your own backyard and kitchen. The real fun happens when you begin to experiment with various methods of preparation, such as herbal teas, tinctures, glycerites, and syrups as well as salves, balms, and creams. Each participant will go home with some herbal know-how and a couple of their own herbal creations.

Restrictions: Class is limited to 12 people and participants must be over 18 to attend. Must have five participants for class to be held. Thank you: Danielle Holliday
