A Midsummer’s Night Dream
(Grade 8)

Available to bid on at Inspire live auction only.

Each and every one of the students in this year’s Grade 8 class contributed a unique piece to this hand-penciled mosaic depicting imagery from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which they also will soon perform as this year’s class play. This lovely piece represents the lasting bond these young people have formed here at SWS while coming to know and honor their independent selves.

This collaborative piece is professionally framed on acid-free, archival matting. 43” by 33”

As Helena described her connection between her and Hermia in this, one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays:

          So we grow together
          Like to a double cherry, seeming parted,
          But yet an union in partition;
          Two lovely berries moulded on one stem;
          So, with two seeming bodies, but one heart.

So has this class grown together. Now, as each moves on from the grade school, here is a visual manifestation of their union in partition, their one heart.

Thank you:  Grade 8
